Støre's book

The norwegian minister of foreig affairs has written a book that was published recently. In the book he writes about the associations he made when he visited Hebron in the West Bank.

For those of you who read norwegian

For those of you who read english; an Israeli newspaper about his statements in the book:

Honestly, anyone who has been in Hebron knows what he is talking about. And about the trash and the wire fence they have put up in the old city...Look at my previous writings and the picture.

Secondly, I cannot understand how one can use his own suffering in the past as a threath to others. The Holocost was a terrible thing and should never happen again. It is a part of the jewish history, a part of their identity to be Gods chosen people in good and in bad. How can they write "Gaz the arabs"?

Thirdly, I think it is a brave thing to do by Støre. He is probably one of the few diplomats in the world who has the guts to speak out about this.So many people know, but so few dare to say anything.

(BTW; I suppose the end of the story will be that he will have to apologize to Israel)
